Echo of Divine Revelation Resonates at the University of Kurdistan
According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, the luminous convocation took place on Tuesday, November 11th, in a spiritual atmosphere, with the participation of numerous professors, students, and distinguished Quranic figures.
The Quran: A Living Entity and a Roadmap for Life
Hojjatoleslam Mahmoud Safizadeh, the Vice President for Cultural and Social Affairs, addressed the ceremony, highlighting the exalted status of the holy book. "The Quran is not merely a collection of verses," he stated, "but a letter from a loving God to beloved humanity, and a remedy for our afflictions."
Citing the words of Imam Ali (AS), he described the Quran as a healer of hearts and added, "We must perceive the Quran as more than a book; it is a living (Hayy) entity revealed by the Living God, and each of its verses carries a direct message for every one of us. This divine word is a guide through incurable pains and a source of tranquility for inner anxieties and worries."
Hojjatoleslam Safizadeh emphasized, "Merely reciting the Quran is insufficient. We must strive to comprehend its meanings, internalize them in our hearts and souls, and live by its principles, for the Quran is the roadmap that the Lord has drawn for us."
Prayer and Quran Recitation: The Most Sublime Audience with the Creator
Following this, Hojjatoleslam Habib Hatami, the Representative of the Supreme Leader at the University of Kurdistan, elaborated on the high station of communion with God. "The most sublime and valuable of all audiences is the opportunity to speak with Almighty God," he said. "The prayer we perform is our dialogue with the Lord, and when we recite the Quran, it is God who speaks to us."
Referring to the words of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (SA), who counted the recitation of the Quran among her most beloved worldly affairs, he added, "We must endeavor, in both our prayers and our recitation of the Quran, to achieve a true presence of heart and sincere attention, so that this connection may become our spiritual sustenance."
It is noteworthy that at the conclusion of this spiritual event, two of the University of Kurdistan's most distinguished Quranic figures were honored with plaques of appreciation.
