According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, twenty universities from across the nation have confirmed their participation and registered for this edition of the competition. The championships will feature events in both powerlifting and bench press, contested across eight weight categories ranging from 59 kg to 120+ kg.

Each team will consist of eight athletes, and the competitions will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF). It is noteworthy that the championships will be monitored by officers from the National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO), and doping tests will be administered to the participating athletes.
