In addition to its importance as the official language of the country, the Persian language is also considered the intellectual image of the Iranian society. For this reason, it is very necessary to study and investigate, protect and develop it. The field of Persian language and literature is a theoretical field and students generally study and review the country's literary works. Students in the field of Persian language and literature get acquainted with Persian prose and prose texts and learn the necessary skills and appropriate training for teaching Persian texts or working in cultural fields as an expert in Persian language and literature. In the field of Persian language and literature, topics such as stylistics, reading ancient and contemporary texts, rhetoric, theory and literary criticism, etc. are examined. There is no specialization in Persian language and literature at the undergraduate level.

This group accepts students in three levels: bachelor's, master's and doctorate, majoring in Persian language and literature.
